La maggior parte di chi ha un blog, conosce bene i servizi offerti da Feedburner. Oltre agli strumenti per gestire e personalizzare il RSS, Feedburner permette di tenere traccia dei lettori e del numero degli iscritti al Feed del blog.
Famoso è il FeedBurner Chicklet 
che permette di vedere il numero degli iscritti al RSS, ma a lungo andare può risultare un vincolo, poichè non viene offerta altra possibilità, se non di cambiare il colore.
Michael autore del blog Vision Master Designs ha creato un suo chicklet personalizzato, semplice ed immediato per recuperare il numero di lettori che hanno sottoscritto il nostro Feed RSS.
Il risultato è ottenuto con una richiesta di informazione del nostro RSS alla API di Feedburner e recuperare il risultato utilizzando PHP (ovviamente).
